Holidays are over, which means, our "Holiday theme" must go.
"Out with the old, in with the new" kunadan sa itay...

In the next few days, a site theme re-design will be performed. Actually, this process has commenced - notice the header(?).

I don't need a motivation to post. Just some brains, a few seconds, a pc and self-discipline. :lol:

Every now and then I find some really good posts and I really try my best to not post "rubbish".

I am not trying to patronize this website but I certainly don't see any problem whatsoever should I decide to. Besides, I think it?s a great Ilocos site. Then again, I only speak for myself - and for myself alone. :)

The bottom line is, pick up something that can be of good use to you (from these posts). It's not necessary that you respond to every posts - like you are patronizing someone or something.

Any improvement on page loading? Is it faster than the default theme?

INOLERS can now change/select their own theme to suit their needs. northTech Theme will be brought back as the default - this is just to let you know that you can indeed select your own theme now. Hope you folks like the new themes :)

I made some enhancements to the Forums View.

I added a code to view the current User Status (Online or Offline).

I thought there were freely available enhancements like this before but it has never been implemented before (as far I am concerned). So I tried to write it from scratch. The codes were harder than I expected. There are still some few little bugs that are needed to deal with. So please let me know if you encounter some malfunctions. Thank you.

The new mp3 Player is here. Right now, it is mainly as beta for testing. I just completed coding the block and the module. Please report here if you have any errors, issues, or questions about it.

The block still have the link to the original i-nOd. The original mp3 player of INOL. This is accessible by all visitors. You can only play the mp3 player by click on the Launch button.

In addition, the FLINOL v1.5.1 (based on FLAM v1.5) is also included. This is for Registered INOL Members only. Because, it contains hundreds of songs, you can select one playlist at a time to listen to the songs. You also have the option to listen to ALL, by selecting PLAY ALL.

If there are errors, recommendations, additions, corrections, new songs to include, anything you have in mind about this block/feature - Please let me know here. I really appreciate them all, in advance.

Check the playlist "Funny Ilocano Songs", there are some songs there that the lyrics are funny...

The location of this block is the same as the original spot for the i-nOd mp3 player before.

I have been here in front of my computer since 6 AM today, it is about 7:30 PM and I am tired. At least it pays off. I have just completed one big module and one small block change that I applied to INOL's Homepage.

In case you didn't notice, here are the changes that I just recently implemented:

+ INOL Yell Box block - I have added a small block as the very last of the blocks in the INOL Homepage. This launches the Yell Box that visitor normally see when they login to the main page (http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com). That if you allow pop ups. This new block now gives us the liberty to go there anytime we want, without enabling pop-up blocker.

+ INOL Membership - This replaces the old Live Stats version. This is the box where you normally login at the homepage. Though it is almost similar (because I made it as close as the old one), it has a lot of changes.
-- Unlike before that you only see how many Logged in members and visitors online, now you can also see WHO are actually logged in. There is a plus (+) sign next to the number and you can click on that to view them.
-- You will also be able to view their profile and PM there from there.
-- It also shows who are users that are Signing up. Meaning they have signed up but not yet completed the process.
-- If you are logged in, you will now have more options, such as changing profile, theme, etc. Click on the plus sign (+) next to the Your Account and you will see more about your Profile.
-- Also, you will also see some changes in the icons if you have new messages.
-- It will also show you your avatar.

Where is the block "RECENT BLOGS"?

There are minor changes to the homepage again today. Though nothing was changed, there were minor re-arranged.

+ NEWS COMMENTS block originally located on the left side is now on the right side above MORE NEWS block

+ RECENT BLOGS block used to be in the center below CURRENCY CONVERTER is now on the left side located underneath NEWEST INOLers.

+ SURVEY/POLL block is now viewable by all visitors and now as a the lask block on the right side.

Future changes will be made in the next few weeks:

+ CURRENCY CONVERTER will be re-written to fit to the left side. It will be located (perhaps) above INOL CHAT.

+ Footer will be re-coded.

+ INOL Guestbook Enhanced - rewritten to v2.8 to add Admin functionalities and enhanced security features.
+ INOL Currency Converter - rewritten for the block and module. Module has more Admin features.
+ INOL Welcome Box entry - Greet visitors from the Homepage. This is hidden when members logged in but can be expanded.
+ INOL Yell Box - added more features to display in the homepage as a block.
+ INOL Ilocano Smiles - rewritten and placed in the center to display random pictures. Maybe rewritten not to scroll.
+ INOL Birthdays - displays who are celebrating their birthdays today. Can be expanded to show who has their birthday this month. Full birthday list is only viewable by members. Members can update their birthday from this block too, if they haven't done so.
+ INOL Latest Blog - displays the latest blog entry. Can be expanded to display all the last 10 blog entries. Bottom part will give you link to configure your Blog, if you are an ELITE INOLER.

The last of the 1st Phase Project has been implemented last night - INOL Contacts. This is the new Footer block located below the News.

If you haven't noticed it, here are what you will see:

Three buttons that does the following:
+ Recommend INOL - this goes to a newly rewritten module that will allow you to recommend or invite your friends to visit INOL. You can now invite as many as 5 friends at one time, and add an optional message. To avoid spam, this feature is equipped with thorough extensive error checking and security.
+ Contact INOL - this is directed to a newly rewritten module that will allow you to directly contact us for your feedbacks, comments, suggestions, and all others. You also have an option to Contact MHTS or gr8-one using this feature.
+ About INOL - this goes to a newly written module that brings up a little info about INOL and the people. This module's version is public-release only. An updated version will be up in the next few days (more on the Admin's visibility).

+ INOL Latest Blog - displays the latest blog entry. Can be expanded to display all the last 10 blog entries. Bottom part will give you link to configure your Blog, if you are an ELITE INOLER.

As you have noticed, I have implemented much of the Expand/Collapse features. This is to provide you all relevant information, yet still giving you a minimized space in the Homepage. Usefull information is there, only whe you need to see it.

The last of the 1st Phase Project has been implemented last night - INOL Contacts. This is the new Footer block located below the News.

If you haven't noticed it, here are what you will see:

Three buttons that does the following:
+ Recommend INOL - this goes to a newly rewritten module that will allow you to recommend or invite your friends to visit INOL. You can now invite as many as 5 friends at one time, and add an optional message. To avoid spam, this feature is equipped with thorough extensive error checking and security.
+ Contact INOL - this is directed to a newly rewritten module that will allow you to directly contact us for your feedbacks, comments, suggestions, and all others. You also have an option to Contact MHTS or gr8-one using this feature.
+ About INOL - this goes to a newly written module that brings up a little info about INOL and the people. This module's version is public-release only. An updated version will be up in the next few days (more on the Admin's visibility).
