I'm a F-A. Mother (1889-1979) born Sabangan, Lepanto-Bontoc, married American in 1910 - left for US in 1910. Want some history 1889-1910. All these words in our minds: Ellenwood Seminary, Negritos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocono, Igorot, manang panang, paria (chinese bitter melon). I want more about my heritage.

There's an Ellinwood Christian Church of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines in the area between General Malvar Street (formerly Tennessee Street) and Pedro Gil (formerly Herran Street) near Taft Avenue in Malate, Manila. I wonder if the Ellinwood Seminary had become the Philippine Christian College which was in the same area and subsequently became the now Philippine Christian University with a campus on Taft Avenue. It has since relocated its main campus in Dasmarinas, Cavite where the Union Theological Seminary is located, after it absorbed the said seminary as its theological school. It however retains it's former name - Union Theological Seminary primarily because it has a prestigious history in theological circles.
