Idi nabasak daytoy post mo, the first thing nga inaramid ko ket in-update ko diay virus definitions ko and then napanak diay microsoft website ta i-download ko koma ti patch ket ibaga da met nga xp, 2000, NT ti apektaran na daytoy nga virus. Windows 98 pay lang ti OS ko. Di haan nak ngarud unay nga apektado? Ngem awan kasla tay agan-annad kakadua. :lol:

New Virus on the wild W32/Randex, W32/Agobot, W32/SpyBot, W32/SDBot. This viruses and its variants would ask for VISA cards and access codes. Sometimes it include valid URL but some file posted as .gif is actually the virus code.

Unlike any other virus, this is not distributed through emails. This virus exploits Microsoft vulnerability [MS04-011], and forces the LSASS.exe to crash and shut down. (See, we should be using Linux now and not the expensive Microsoft :lol: ).

The best solution is to patch MS04-011 vulnerability. And as always, update your antivirus programs. As a rule of thumb, nobody should be connecting online if they don't have any anti-virus software installed on their computer. This is sometimes overlooked. Antivirus is the one that you need to help you get protected. But you still need to update it (daily). Antivirus wouldn't make any sense if they are not updated.

Yap, in addition to the virus protection, make sure that your operating system is patch with the latest patch.

Do not download sharewares or programs that you do not trust the provider. Most shareware programs are like Trojan Horse. They seem to work to the way it was designed, but behind the scene, they are opening up ports and backdoors in your computer. Pretty soon, your computer will be open to the hackers to get in using the ports opened or the backdoors created by the program.

So, just a precaution, the Internet is not a very safe place at all.
