... aside from the fact that she gave birth to me, my mother used to say I was the handsomest little boy in town - beating my 2 brothers hands down! hahaha!!!
Right bradduhs??? :)

On 09 May, we celebrate "Mother's Day", so what's a better way to honor her than letting the whole world know that she's the best mother in the world?

So what's the best thing your mother did to you? Or to anyone?
Why do you think that your mother is the best mother in world?
Do you have a poem or song for her?

Please share it here...

I don't mean to be corny but...
for the world's best mom, darn, I don't care!
Here goes:

For all that you have given me,
I can return but love. For you
Bound up the wounds I did not see
And gave me hopes and passions new.
I can return but love for you,
Whose unmoved faith my heart did move,
And gave me hopes and passions new,
And loved me till I turned to love.

Whose unmoved faith did my heart move?
The mother of my heart, not blood,
Who loved me till I turned to love.
And I became the soul I would.

The mother of my heart, not blood,
Bound up the wounds I did not see.
And I became the soul I would
For all that you have given me.

In case you're wondering, this poem is by Dimitri Shostakovich :)
Advance Happy Mother's Day nanang!

Very touching FlushedMX. Well, I'm not that corny too, but I do appreciate what my mother did for me. This poem was first shared on May 9, 1997, and I try to put them all back from the top of my head.

Nine months you sacrificed for me,
Nine-teen years you molded me,
All these things you did for me
Because of your love and care for me.

I want to thank you for your sacrifices,
For those great and admiring advices.
Thanks for not letting me dive into vices,
Directing me to better and higher places.

I want to appreciate your thougths,
Those lovely and unending hopes.
Thanks for all the supports you brought,
I succeeded life's perils that I fought.

Nanang, thank you for eveything,
For the lullabies you still sing.
I thank you for making me your darling,
But best of all for trying to make me king.

Mom, you are the best
You succumbed God's test.
You are still the greatest,
The best amongst the rest.

Thanks for the compliments buddy. My teacher in Composition back in college told me that I could become a poet when I made the poem "Engineer's Love" and share it in class. But I guess I was not born to be like it. But you got it man. When you want to hear from inside of your heart, those words just come out!

I'll wait for yours BB-M

Happy mothers' day again to my nanang!

For me, the best thing my mother did to me is being taught the wrong and right. She taught me how to love the one who created me and that was JESUS CHRIST THE ALMIGHTY GOD......

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, Nanang.......... I LOVE YOU and I MISS YOU so much..............

That's a good advice.
Although I am sure all mothers would wish that to their daughters. My mother in fact, advised me the same thing.

Happy Mothers' Day to all!

If you were a burger,
you would be a big mac.

If you were a car,
You would be a Cadillac

If you were a roadside snack,
you would be an empanada

Happy Mothers' Day to my mother and to my wife
