Although I am an "un-adulaterated" ilocano, I could hardly speak the language but I do understand it very well. The funny thing is that, I could "speak" it so well in my mind that when I type the words, they come out perfect, but when I speak - literally speaking - words don't come out as good. But I can not be "sold?" :) :)

Yes, this is a nice thread - at least I get to know a little bit about the people I deal with on the net. I am an Ilocana (Laoag) coed with a little kapampangan blood (my maternal great-grandmother was from Apalit, Pampanga) but the only kapampangan words I know are Mekeni mekeni mangantamu (sometimes they say "mangantamu koryenti" - lolz! :) ). I like Ilocano & kapampangan foods and I don't wear low-waist jeans :)
