I probably wouldn't need any security unit because I will end up dispersing most (if not all of it) into the following:

- I will build a world-class medical facility (with med. school) in Laoag City comparable to those of the rich nations of the west. This way our kababayans won't need to go to Manila ( or in some cases - abroad) to seek medical treatment and end up dying along the way. I will make the same level of services available to all - rich/poor/young/old/men/women/gay/lesbian and I mean ALL! I will setup a private institution to run this facility to eliminate/minimize corruption.

- I will build training centers all over Ilocos Norte to teach every Ilocano how to make money out of indigenous materials (wherein Ilocos is rich with), or teach them how to make money "out of nothing." A central research facility will be setup in Laoag to explore every possible money-making ideas/materials.

I believe that teaching them is better than giving them the cash. As my favorite biblical adage goes:
"Feed a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Now, why didn?t I leave something for myself? I feel so confident that should the research become successful, I will easily get back my 10-MIL, with interest. Imagine a perfect political system?no corruption, red tapes, etc.

Although they sound crazy, I like all your ideas. They represent our frustrations on our poor system of government. But because you are doing what I would do if I had that much money, I would use my $10 Million for my persoanal use.

I would buy a Stealth Aircraft/Jet capable of traveling faster than the speed of sound (like maybe an F-117) so I could zoom my way into Ilocos and zoom my way back to Hawaii ? whenever I want, at 10 times less than what it would take me to use a commercial airplane.

I don?t have to worry about customs checking my balikabayan boxes nor do I have to worry about being detected by military radar ? isu ngarud nge stealth ti ginatang ko tapno haan da nga ma-detect. Hehehe?

I couldn't help myself from smiling while reading all your seemingly unrealistic ideas, which is furhther made unrealistic, by each of you missing some focal points. Let me try and disect what each of you had said:

Maharlika, I don't see anything wrong with your plans except WHY - of all crooked individuals - you would choose Chavit. You already know that even before you get hold of your $10M you are already 6 feet underground my friend. If you have to put up a private army, you can count on Trillanes and Honasan, that is if you can afford their asking price. They will not only shield you from goons - they will also give you a country full of goons and hoodlums. :) :lol:

Winnie Fred, I wish your hospital was already there when Lolo Pinong developed a brain tumor. Like you said, he died on his way to Manila. He could have been saved - OR COULD HE?

$10 million? Hmmm...I'm gonna purchase a couple of lots along the Saud beach, the smaller one where I can build my house, and the larger one I will build my resort. Some of them will be put on several businesses that I'll put up on Laoag City. The remaining will be on several farms that I'm gonna purchase on the towns of Claveria, Sanchez Mira and Pamplona in Cagayan, and the remaining on my savings. From those savings plus the profits from my businesses will come more profit which I can use for charity, and personal financial security.
