Unforgettable din ang (HS) Senior Prom ko. I was 15 then...I was a "late bloomer", kaya wala akong masyadong kakilla na guys...My father had to set me up with his friend's son. I'm not going to mention his name. He was popular then..good looking, ma-sosyal, got his own car basta "head turner"..he was from De Lasalle (2nd year College).
Kabado ako 2 days before the prom...kasi I did not know how to react...Basta I tried to prepare.
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT...Pagdating namin sa ballroom ng hotel (Philippine Plaza)...he left me alone for at least 2 hours...And then I saw him flirting with the popular girls in school...GOD...mamatay ako sa sama ng loob...I felt REJECTED...Pero ganoon talaga hindi niya ako type...But I met him after two years , it's pay back time...marunong na kasi akong mag-ayos...He tried to talk to me pero hindi ko na siya pinansin...

Mr. President? Nagmayat me dayta nga title len. Uray met gayam sika kuya ket Mr. President met. Mayat man ta saludsod mo nu napintas kad ngamin diay girlfriend ko! Of course, gayyem ko gayam ana?! Saan ko koman nga inaremmen a no di napintas ti pinagkitak (Beauty lies upon the eye of the beholder) napintas ti panagkitak kanyana. Sumali rin sya sa mga Beauty Pageant's pero hindi ko alam kong anong mga title na nakuha nya. Unlike Ate Glow, Ms INEC, Ms. Beauty Queen, Ms. Beautifl, Ms. Pretty, Ms. Intelligent, etc. Those were the days! You gotta love it!

Ate Glow, yep, I think we had good ones. I wish I could go back there one more time and enjoy it more!!!

Ate Glow, thanks for sharing your expressions. Truthfully, I think this happens to a lot of HS in our place. I am not exempted of course. Though my customes were mine, they were mine since I was in Junior. Kumbaga, we have this dress, and they can only be used for "such" occasions. I only had one formal dress and my mom kept them secured because they were only to be used once or twice every blue moon. Yeah that secured, kahit simpleng trouvenized lang, at bitin na slacks.. it was all good. That's life!

Forgive my expression but I'm a bit exasperated due to envy :oops:Oh cousin Daguerr :oops: , I'm the luckiest :D then...I just drive few miles...nasa..Goldilocks na ako, Red Ribbon, Jolibee, Max Manila, Chow king, Manila Sunset and lots of Filipino restaturants....and you know what prices are pretty fair...I've been busy at work lately puros TO GO FOOD ako....

yeah the sea urchin is good!! first time i tasted it was in pagudpod when we had a 3 day camp and our divers just used their skills.. ket ti met la namay an mi jay maritangtang ket basta intuno min...yanjay beggang...naim imas manang aglalo no igupem jay digo na...

im so glad you had fun wearing it ate glo...it is most comfortable compared to the traditional kimono which can nearly kill by suffocation hehehe...and ate myrna it is good if you have your friends with you...i really doubt it if you can dress up in kimono alone...it took 2-3 persons to help met get dressed.

Hello anak Zach...I checked you page, and I liked what I read...you are good...I wish I had a daughter like you :) ..I wanted to comment but I can't cause I am not a member of friendster :) ....the things that you experienced in Japan reminds me of my first experience when I just came here and got a job with DOD(USAF)....they didn't know me then ...no place to stay on base yet so I have to stay at the Military Hotel...one day one Commodore(04 in the Navy) who stayed next door just blurted this....."hey beautiful...how much...100 ?"...and I told him...hey look...I am not that cheap!( when I was back home that's what we say when we don't like the man!...and I guess he mis-interpreted it!)...so he said...what about 500?...I just look at him and started to walk away...but he grabbed my hands and said...a thousand...and tried to push me in his room!....but I was quick enough to scream at the top of my voice ...and heads popped up in every room in the hallway....then the military police came....poor guy...he was supposed to retire in a year...an officer of the Navy equivalent to a Major in the US Air Force....was dishonorably discharge because of me :roll: :roll: :roll: ...good for him !...what he thought maybe is that ..I was just like some that he knew...tsk, tsk tsk...cost him his job !....my husbands reaction?....he was so proud of me :)

Now here at the base where I work...they are already scared making a pass at a Filipina....most of the Filipinas said...good I did it cause they had been doing that to them but they were scared to say anything.
