The Cardinal who played major role in our politics and society. One of the major players in EDSA 1 and 2, has breathed his last. Just a couple of days he died at Cardinal Santos Hospital (I forgot what illness killed him) at the age of 76. For many years of his service as a member of clergy, he tried to guide Roman Catholics to be closer to God (If he attained this objective or not, it is completely up to you). Love him or hate him, one thing that you have to accept: This guy's being part of History. :)

You are right about that, Beef. Cardinal Sin has a prominent place in both political and religious histories of our nation.

So sad to know about his passing...yes ...he played a great part in Philippine politics...and he will be remembered in Philippine History, as the cardinal who helped Cory Aquino in power , and helped depose our very own Ferdinand Marcos....may he rest in peace....
Yes he has a place in history but for all that he did, IS THE PHILIPPINES A BETTER PLACE? NOT A CHANCE. IT'S WORST.

Welcome back Aida.
Let history be the judge. At this time, his lagacy, whatever it is, is still not fully understood. At some point in his ministry, he was indeed controversial. But sometimes, being controversial is one way to be an effective leader, by way of catching everybody's attention.

^I don't really the guy very much, but I agree that he's still not a devil type of guy to condemn him to hell. :)
Besides kungdi dahil sa kanya, Beef will be dead by now, since critical ako sa mga Marcoses, hehe.

He's the one who fought for democracy. Unfortunately, when some of his allies are turning their heads towards corrupt pratices, he's not aware of it. :(
