What if God will give you one time in your life's history and go back there (whethere to fix something, or enjoy it again), when would you like to go back and why?

Note: this is just "your" life, not your parents, not someone else.

Well...let me see...I can't think of anything that I want to fix way back.....I had ups and downs.....but those experiences contributed so much to my being ... the not so good ones???...I learned from those, .... tried not to do it again....& made me a better person...

Summarizing all the post that are contained here, made me to wonder why did I start this thread? Because in reality, our life is not a single instance process, it is a actually a multi-threaded processes. Each of this big and small processes are revolving around one big life. Our mistakes, our regrets, and our failures, were seemed like made in purpose - to attain the next step, to get ready to fix for the next problem, and to be ready to face yet another process.

If God were to give me one time in history and go back there and change it, I would probably ask Him, if I could go back around 15 - 18 years back... I don't care how old or who I was at that time, I would just like for God to give me the intelligence and directions to find what I have found now. I found this "bright" light that could have made my life perfect... had I found it earlier...

It is not really fixing things, but linking things to the past...

fortunately and unfortunately i did not. i was set to study at SLU na nun but another opportunity came up and i took that so i had to study somewhere and something else na which is good kasi if not for that i wouldnt be here where i am now doing what im doing...just give it your best shot kahit ano pa yan.

I taught for a year...then I had a job offer with a good pay ( Popcom Region 2)..but politics helped...lol...my then late boyfriends grandpa was Board Member of Cagayan., he pulled some strings...lol..but he was proud to recommend me because I passed the Board...... I was able to use some of the things I learned in Nursing too, I was a trainor for Popcom, and it gave me the oppurtunity to go all around the Philippines and Asia ...all expenses paid...and even now...I still teach... I train new recruits ....

sa state university ang instructor 1 is around 10- 11 thousand. dagdag mo pa sa workload ang hindi lang pagtuturo kundi ang paggawa ng kung ano ano pang work daw that comes with the job. you produce your own material, pay for it from your meager salary, deal with one of a heck bureacracy, crab mentality and no overtime/overload pay tapos gawin ka pang contractual. tapos idagdag mo pang kulang na lang magcartwheels ka para lang maintindihan ng mga students mo ang lesson pero di pa rin makikinig. makes you see red.

i really swear of all workers in the government, the teachers have the best reasons to commit murder. hehehe thats why kung tatanungin why teaching is the noblest profession? the teachers have the longest patience and control not to kill everyone in sight hehhehe

Pretty touching actually, when you said that Teaching is a Calling! I could not describe a better phrase than what you've just said. I am a Jack of all trades, and believe me, one of these days, I would like to be a teacher. I love to talk, I love to share what I know, what I've learned, and what I've acquired. I wanted to share those in the chain of knowledge and let the wisdom spread across. It'd probably be a part-time only because we know the pay will not keep you breathing... Teachers should be paid just like Computer Programmers, Doctors, and other Professionals, after all, they Teach all these people...

Anak zach...listen to ading daguerrson...and me too :) ...your natural teeth is far much better that a false one....I can tell you from experience....when I was in High School my Dad wanted my front teeth pulled...they forced me to see his dentist friend....I was already sitiing on the dentist chair....but when I saw the big needle....I tried to ran...but he grabbed my shoulders and told me to sit but I resisted....to the extent of giving him a face shower!(Tupra diay rupana....sorry Doc!)...then I just bolted out of the room.....but maybe God was telling me to save my teeth!....I think they are pretty....kuna ngamin ni Amang ko ket kasda la wasay! :? ....Now I see my teeth are pretty even they are not that perfect....I can eat anything I want.. :) ....till now....I still have my natural teeth...and I love them :)

Myrna, many dentists are like your dad's dentist friend, they are just about happy to remove undamaged teeth and replace it with false ones because they make money out of it. Some even go to the extent of creating cavities just so you go to them for patch up job. Beware, those are the kind of dentists that do not adhere to their own professional ethics. It's money they are after.

You did the right thing to him. He should know better than giving in to your dad's prodding. Good for you, you saved your teeth and they are still giving you good service up to now. Take good care of them. Just remember, they are worth more than a grand each because they are better than ceramics - they are originals.
