i went there many times,it was working...there is a space down where u can type...
nxt time ,we can chat there and invite frenz para mas masaya :P

You should find a rectangular box (light-blue lined), that's where you type you message. You can click the check icon button or hit the enter key and that should let your message in. Here is a quick link to the Chatroom (http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules.php?name=4nChat).

The sessions are limited based on IP address, so if you are logged in to a chatroom as a Guess, you may not be able to go in to the same room after you logged in with your username (using the same computer/IP address). You would need to wait at least 3 minutes for it to clear...

Also, if you have pop up enabled (XP SP2 has this by default), you may want to "temporarily disable" pop ups for INOL. Some users may not see new users joining in, or messages from other users. It has something to do with the PC or maybe company's firewall or security settings.

I'll check with gr8-one to see if there are updates with the Chatroom. There is actually a different chat client that could be use with PHP-Nuke. But he is busy too with his one and only (not in his dreams though...)

if we will enter the chatroom,can we not put a mssge in d shout box that we r there? so that if we 'll log in,we will know that there is somebody available to chat with..

For those who had been here for a while, you know what I am trying to talk about.

There used to be a Shoutbox module in the front page and a chat room on top of this forum (real-time). But because of some issues, those never worked the way they should have. I guess that's why [Unknown] placed them where they are now.

Public message sounds like a good approach for now. On the left side of the front page, you still can see who were the latest member who logged in and how many are logged in. You can also see on the bottom of the Forum main page who are currently logged in (provided they did not change their settings to hide their online status).

If you are using IE as your browser, it is possible that META REFRESH is disabled. This option will refresh your browser automatically every X seconds interval, depending on the application (such as Chat, Redirect Page, etc.).

Try to check if this is Enabled or Not. If it is Not, obviously you need to Enable it. On your browser, find and click Tools > Internet Options... Locate the Security Tab. Select Internet and click on the Custom Level... button. Scroll down till you see Miscellaneous. Look under that, there should be Allow META REFRESH. Enabled option should be selected. If not select and click OK, Apply and OK.

If this will not fix the problem, or if your browser is not IE, let me know. I will try what I can do... :wink:

Remember, there are three chatrooms, one of them require's a password.

Manang Myrna, I noticed the redirect to Inquirer website at one point last week. However, I am only limited to check the code settings on the modules. gr8-one is still working on the bugs that would give me a higher level of access. Rest assured, I have noted the issue and will see what I could do to check it next time.

Me too. I Use Internet Explorer and I tried your suggestion but it won't work.

Was META-REFRESH enabled or disabled before doing the change? What was the main issue, was is not refreshing, or you could not post? Do you have firewall installed? Are you accessing it from work or from home? If work, maybe your corporate firewall has an access control list not to allow chatroom ports. If from home, maybe your firewall or antivirus (such as McAfee v8 ) is blocking it. Feel free to PM or email me... Thanks..

If Mozilla, Netscape, or IE show the same way; where you cannot see where to type, I assumed it is a security settings on the computer itself. However, it is likely that page is not only displayed properly. I will ask gr8-one to try out another ChatRoom module.

I think this is a problem on the color settings. I am not sure if there are default settings set for a computer, but it is likely that the color settings are set so you cannot see the letters or words being type. I am sorry I am not a big help on these. As much as I would want to get it fix, I would really like if I can see the screenshots of what you have.

Thanks SuperGlow, all this week I will be working on my BIG Capstone Project and Mid-Term, I'll miss INOL. But I will stop by once in a while...
