I've been to Shishi here in Baguio and Tokyo-tokyo.
instead of mayo-naise they use the WASABE..the green horse-radish mustard
try Wasabe mang kilroy...ayna nagasang unay....makasarwaak idi kwa..hehehe
isawsaw mo dyay tempura - dyay raw fish or shrimp and squid nga nabalot ng arina......mmmmm nag-imas, idyay SWEETENED SOY SAUSE NGA KUNA DA NGA TERIYAKI..
ken dyay inapoy da "sushi" na isawsaw mo dyay soy nga adda wasabe na...mmm nagasang!
ngem kaykayat ko ti chinese cuisine..."shabu-shabu"
kadi kaykayat ko latta ti Pinoy dishes....walang katulad, at walang kaparis...O HA!

Here in Hawaii, Filipino foods are everywhere, so I don't really miss it.
Most of the time, if I am not eating Japanese food, I am eating Fil. food.

Japanese Restaurant in Laoag? I may go there only for variety but since that's in Ilocos, I'd rather go for local cuisine which I've been yearning for so long now. Kilawen nga ikan, kilawen nga kalding, pinakbet, dinengdeng, liningta nga ikan, tinuno nga ikan, tinuno nga manok, arros valenciana, pinangat, paksiw nga letson, batsoy, kaldereta, kare-kare, barbaqua, etc. Siempre, adda artem nga sili nga nalaokan ti bawang tapno nabanglo.

OH MY GOD manong..it reminds me of my tatang..ayna saan nga makapangan no awan tay naartem nga sili,bawang..daytay pay met ngarud nakagasgasang nga sili[tay babassit]adu ti mula na nga kasdiay...biag na la unay, lalo no agtudtudo..ad-adu kano makan na no adda artem nga sili..hihihi :lol: :lol: :lol:

Not at all a member of the PAF. But I guess I can say the PA. I have been thru those CAT and ROTC in the old days when they were still required for us to attend. I just have the hobby of having a PAF site. There is also a PA site http://www.angelfire.com/ga/batwentyone/Army.html.
By the way is there a Shoe Mart being developed in Laoag City?

There has been some discussions about SM being put up in Laoag. I know these were just hearsays but nobody knows.
I think great-one mentioned about a mall being developed in the Laoag-San Nicolas area, though not SM.

Glo am-ammok ni manong Lando..classmates ko diay anak na idi highschool kami..isu ti valedictotian mi idi.she is now married with Arthur Pascua[from Pias Norte] and they have lovely twins too...and yes they are from boundary of Torre and Salugan....immay kami naminsan nagala ti label ti de lata didiay D'Coral..adu ngamin idi ....syempre para luto ngarud ni tatang na isu adu ti naurnong nga labels....thank you....

Know why? The house kitchen is the domain of the queen of the house - tradition-wise, Philippine setting. My late brother cooked very well but all the kitchen chores were under the control of his wife. He just provided the raw materials, that's it. Incidentally, his wife cooks very well too. She is a Bicolana but she mastered the Ilocano way of cooking - until she was cooking like my mother did.

Hmmmmmm...if my hubby is cooking....he just wants me to sit down and do whatever I want to do...and he'll just call me when it's done!.. wash dirty dishes and cleans the kitchen before he lets me in the kitchen or else ........and vice versa.....the differnce in our cooking skills is that he uses a cook book, and measures everything he uses...from cooking oil to salt...and it must be the right temperature......me?....I just use my my hands! a pinch of this and that :lol: :lol: :lol:
