Zach and SuperGlow made good points, but there are just few things I would like to add.

My sister is married to a British/Scottish nationality. We know that our cultures as Easterners is completely the opposite of the Western cultures. If you understand his ways, and he understand you... it will work out.

Love and respect for each of you is highly needed. You will find a lot of indifferences, but these shouldn't be the grounds to be discouraged. Use these weaknesses as your stepping stones for your strengths.

Putting God between your relationship will break all the barriers. I mean, ALL.

I agree MHTS , there are many homes have been shattered due to vilolent religious intolereance or let's say putting aside God in every decision of every couple. Never pretend having relationship with our CREATOR is unimportant to us, it is a major factor in marriage and in mate selection process. God will give you the best.

If you're in the Philippines, my suggestion is DO NOT marry him yet. Ask her the K1 Visa or the Fianc?? visa. Then marry him once you landed here in the soil of Uncle Sam.

Mabait naman yon, nag met na kami last year 2002. His step mother is a filipina so no big problem. The most important is to convince him into my religion as INC before to settle.

Kaya sa ngayon pa lang pinapanalangin ko na kasi wala naman imposible sa Dios. Pero sa tanda ko nito 35 yrs. old bahala na ako mag-isip para maakay ko.

well mabuti yan ipanalangin mo. nothing is impossible indeed. you have a different faith than what i believe in but ti lang kanyak ket, a person should not convert on the will of their love ones but in their own will, in their own belief as willed by God. Anyway, God bless manang! i hope you will be married soon!

I am married to an American Gentleman. I am very happy. We live in an upscale neighborhood. We take vacations 4 or 5 times a year, dine in fine restaurants, loves arts and sports. Most of all, he respects and loves me.
