Same here. Can't grasp the main idea of the question.
Anyway, I married a Visayana and our compatibility rating, as far as I'm concerned is 7.8 on the scale of 1 to 10. Not perfect, but still is great. If you are interested in our zodiac signs, I'm a Scorpio and she was a Pisces. We made Cebu City our residence. We have kids, all girls and don't detect any dislike or some kind of animosity towards their Tagalog and Ilocano cousins and vice versa. They blended together very well. They also mixed very well with other Ilocano kids in the neighborhood whenever we went on vacation in Ilocos Norte a place which they have come to love. They have lots of friends there and have so much fun with them that's why they always looked forward to the next trip to Ilocos Norte, which we did every year.
Probably, what you are trying to clarify is a stereotyped notion that has evolved due to lack of exposure and understanding among these ethnic or shall I say cultural groups.

Thanks for sharing cousin Superdaguerr,
I see your point here and I agree to that...My brother is also married to a visayana and they get along very well. It is a matter of sharing ideas and accepting things...But funny thing...Ngem, POLITICALLY ditoy da nga haan nga agkatunusan...Everyone knows that our father is really for Apo Marcos and their family is completely to the other party....(very close to the late Benigno Aquino)...Idi nagkasar da diay Manila most of the politicians were there....Everybody felt very un-easy ta di mi ammo nu sinno ti mapan diay Presidential table...basically most of the Ilocos politicians and Visayan politicians mingled with halong kaplastikan (sowee po).....There was really a big competition that night dahil palakasan ng palakpak...everytime the emcee introduce each one of them....hihihihihihihi...
I think in the Philippines...we are more into politics than anything else......

Talking about politics, my wife was a first degree niece of Speaker Nicanor Yniguez and you know who he is? He was a classmate of President Marcos at UP College of Law. So political friction was non-existent between me and her family.

My sympathy to your sister-in-law COUSIN SUPERGLOW. I know how she feels. She is entitled to her own inclinations. That's her inalienable right. Le her be.

Cousin Superdaguerr,
I sympathize her too...that's why I don't talk politics in front of her....and you know it is very un-ethical to argue about politics anyways....we can talk abt politics but not to argue abt it....ta awan ti patengga na....but I love my sister-in law...

I don't think na possible yang sinasabi ng threadstarter as universal truth. Depende naman yan sa dalawang tao, e. If they chose to stick together, then so be it, otherwise...nasa sa kanila yun.
Ako taga-Cebu ako, does that mean na pag Ilokana asawa ko e di kami magtatagal?
