i've been using autocad for 2ys. now
una kung na-try was 2000i tapos release 14 tapos 2002 & finally 2004.
medyo naasar ako noong una dahil nakasanayan ko was manual drafting.
it took me 4 months to know the in & out of it. then after i fell inlove using the program.
so sino bang gumagamit ng mga LISP dito???
how 'bout using the bonus tools??? yung EXPRESS MENU.....
good thing, i have my lisp n express tools kasi yun ang nagpapabilis sa aking trabaho.
bsta marunong ka sa mga alias lyk OP (short for open) CTT (change DTEXT to MTEXT)
i depend on command kasi, nakasanayan ko na na iTYPE na lang yun.

no adda tricks niyo umaykayon ta agpipinnabulod tay ti ammo.

Pinadas ko dayta kunam extreme ngem idi in ctrl-o k nagparang diay open file and then awanen iti napasamak kadagidiay succeeding commands.

Here's how you do it:
Create a plain text file and copy whatever extreme wrote down.
Save it as filename.LSP
Use whatever you want in place of filename.
You can use Textpad or Notepad.

Do not use any word processing program like MS Word

Now, before you can use it you must load it into memory first. You can do 2 things here:

In the command line you can type APPLOAD and the dialog box will appear. Now just navigate through the folder where you saved your lisp, select it and "load"
You can also use your pull-down menus. Choose >Tools >AutoLisp >Load and the same dialogue box will pop up.

Now try typing the filename at the Command: line :lol: :mrgreen:

It's a very un-common discipline (yachts, cruise ships), that's why I would be willing to explore, maybe give it a shot, and expand my horizons - if I was in Manila/Ilocos.
It's worth a try!!!

This is an old thread but I just want to share my thingking about copying cad lisp..

*everytime nga adda kopyaek nga cad lisp, I don't delete the author.

*If i modify it, i just insert my name and the date when it was modified just below the original author. I dont erase the original author...give respect to the person who wrote it.. :wink:

I've been using CAD since 1995...release 11 pay la idi..napadasak amin nga version ti CAD..Right now, i,m using acad 2006 and 2007..Napistas ti 2007 version ngem nabayag...unless you have a fast computer...

I'm also using the ff. autodesk softwares:

Autodesk Land Desktop Development -used for designing roads, earthwork computations

Autodesk Civil 3D - Better than above software

Autodesk Revit- ammok bassit - superb software in doing perspective...

I began using CAD since release 10 in 1990 (i think) - that was when I was at SLU. I think we were the first batch to have taken the subject at SLU. I went straight to R12.

Still using 2006 at the moment with Architectural Desktop 2005, which is really made for Architectural dsicipline - much like Land Desktop for Civil applications. Autodesk has programs pretty much for different trades.

I'd like to try Revit as 3dsMax is more of modeling and game/animation development software.
