INOLers, you can use this thread to report website issues or post website suggestions. Thank you...

I seem to recall, there was an issue with the "Quick Reply" at the bottom of the view topic threads, and if your theme is "Flashback". I just fixed that now. If you are using Firefox and you're theme is Flashback, this feature should be okay now. If you are still having some issues, try upgrading your Firefox to the latest version (1.5 as of this point).

There was a suggestion before about a Currency Converter block to be added here (suggested by apo SuperDaguerr, I believe). I have a prototype that I am working on, but the prototype doesn't work according to what I think it should be. I am still working on this feature. If you guys think you still want this, please let me know.

I've called up our ISP and wanted to get an upgrade, so that we can have more, better, and faster domain. To my surprise, they could actually give it to me for FREE!! However, there is too much risk in upgrading it to the new features they have.

If our website is upgraded, it would have a downtime. And when I heard how long it will be down, I give the free stuffs back to them. The down time will take 3-4 days of INOL being down. I think that was too long not to have this site up. So, I decided to have what we have for now.

Nevertheless, we will get those speed and performance sooner. I will get the upgrade once INOL backup (ilocos-norte.com/inside) is up and operational...

One thing for sure is.. INOL is here, and forever, will be, amen.

I know the reason behind diay pinag-scroll na nga agslow. I will be working on a new block and face of INOL this weekend. Hope it will fix the slow-motion. And some of the improvements do make our site slow, unfortunately... but I will do the best I can to make it faster for most users...

About the sudden close-out of your IE, I am not sure what this cause. I haven't replicated yet. Might want to update the IE and Flash to avoid this. I will also research more about it...

I see that this is shown in IE, but not in Firefox. I made some changes to the codes, and hopefully, awan to dayta nga Error message sen :) ... I think it is fix now.

The Chatroom cannot load completely in my pc if I use IE as my browser. The page shows up but it's white and blank - there's nothing in it. But if I use Firefox, it loads completely. only, it's slower than the IE. My IE has not been updated yet, though.

Apo Daguerr, I have tested it on some of the older versions of IE and still loads on mine. Can you try to access this page:

Were you able view the content? Or does it load as blank page for the Travelocity part?

If it does, the problem is IE's flash plugin. You already Flash installed, obviously, since it can run on Firefox. Only the plugin associated with it has the problem.

On your IE, go to Tools > Manage Add-ons.

See if you have Shockwave Flash Object. Check if it is enabled or disabled. If enabled, try to Update the ActiveX. If you don't see one, try to re-install Flash from Macromedia (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BIOW) website. This normally fixes the problem.

I've experienced this last time. I am looking into the error log and it seems like it's been a recurring issue. THIS IS NOT REALLY GOOD... at times it would completely timed out and this denies us all to come and visit INOL.

I have been working on some workaround or fix for this. I found some links to the errors but not sure what is causing them. Thank you for letting me know apo Daguerr, I am very thankful that you update me on this. In this way, I know when to look for the logs and where to look...

All, please don't feel bad, sorry, angry, or anything to post any WEBSITES ISSUES... Believe me, I am more thankful to see them...

Wen lakay, I have been decoding, recoding, and burrying my head inside all the 1's and 0's of the codes and could not find it at first... but Alas! I found the error.

I just fixed it now... and believe it or not, the error was one small code --> "0". Yep, just one number zero. All I had to do is to add one number zero at the end of the INSERT command and now works like a charm....

Adda ngarud ti naripar ko nga problema na no sinagpaminsan. Adda ngamin script nga backend nga mangpabayag. And sometimes, IE takes longer to load the script. I have been thinking of recoding the index page itself, but this is perhaps one of the biggest challenges if I pursue.

I have noticed several lags when acccessing the homepage recently, so for the time being, I will see if I could do something about these errors.

Sorry to hear that apo Daguerr, I see tons of errors in the error log occured this morning. This has been an ongoing issue and been trying to find out the main cause.

I am rewriting the index page, as I can see it is the main cause of this issue. It is also the main issue why it is slow at many times.

Yeah, it is working fine with me too...

However, I think you might have experienced trying to Jump to a Forum "description". If you Jump To a forum, it works, but if you chose the description such as EXCLUSIVELY INOLers, INFORMATION, etc... This wouldn't work. You will need to select a Forum from under that and it should work.

I will look into the codes of possibly chaning the font color of the description so we will not get confused next time...

INOL Hosted server was down earlier (9 AM PST, Jan 24, 2007). I have checked with the Tech and they have repaired the damage.

So basically the way "multi-quote" (a feature that did not exist from previous INOL forums) is to allow you to quote multiple entries. You click on the multiquote button, and that will mark that entry as selected, you'd notice the icon color change to red with minus sign. You can select multiple entries by flagging them (selecting the multiquote icon). After you've selected what you wanted to quote, clicking either any of the "Quote" icon on those posts, or simply click on the "Post Reply" button on the bottom and that should give you a Reply page where all your selected entries are added as "QUOTES".

Post your entry. It will add all the multiple quotes you've selected, clear the flags, and post your entry. Kinda cool!

Oh that one. Yeah, I will look into it this weekend. I am actually going to upgrade the engine to the latest one this weekend, along with modifying the theme to a better one (or at least, different from the Default for now).

Alright, per tibo's bright suggestion, and ayvee's second the motion, I was able to make some minor adjustments to the Quick Reply and Reply function. It now displays WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) functionality, including our old INOL smilies.

Apo Daguerr, try reloading the pages again. Mayat met kaniak deta Quick Links. Or siguro just your settings, I will check.

Also mayat met the Font Color dita Quick Reply ngem madi dita Advanced. I will check that later, siguro some 'theme' settings lang.

Apo Daguerr, must be your settings apo. I've made slight change on your settings, please check.

Also you can check on the Display Options on the bottom of the each topic. It lets you change your display such as Sorted By, Last Posted, etc..

With the last upgrade there have been changes. You can now click on the user's name and it will give you a drop down options, which you can perform more actions such as:
View Public Profile
Send PM to the user
Visit user Homepage
Find more of user's posts
View Blog

And if they have it added, you can also send Yahoo, AIM, Skype, etc. These icons will be located under their names. Check out mine, I have Yahoo...

Right, this would be a good thing to have. I also want to listen to our own radio stations dita Laoag.

Problem is we need them get some services for them for this to be available online. It is not hard, I am not just sure what is holding them up. At one point, ton agbakasyonak koma, innak koma kasarita dagita stations and offer them a streaming service... but it's not easy if i am all over the place.. hehehe..

Apo admin, been trying to log into the old INOL site but I could not, using my username and password. What should I do?

I made the old INOL Private apo Daguerr. Kasi ngamin, awan ti time min nga ag upgrade diay old engine so to be safe, we made in private. Unfortunately, limited lang ti accounts nga maka access.

But no issues, kasi mostly nga naglaon nan ket adda met ditoyen. Except of course with the News and other minor thing.

One good news though is that, I bought the upcoming upgrades of our engine (pre-sale). So ton ma i release diay version, INOL will be totally upgraded completely.

Maipasubli pay dagitay News and other things. Ket there are more features nga ma-include. So I am looking forward to it. Hopefully before Christmas!
