Here is a quick guide for those who have yet to set up their avatars. Please let me know if you need more assistance.
There are two places where you can update your avatar
Your Info
This can be accessed by clicking "Your Page" link from the menu. Click "Your Info" from your header menu - the first one. Or click HERE (http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=edituser)
Forum Profile
This is accessed from the header on the Forum Index, by clicking "Profile". Or click HERE (http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules.php?name=Forums&file=profile)
There are actually Four ways of changing your avatar:
1 - Select from the Gallery - click the Show Gallery button and select your avatar from the Gallery. Note: there are two galleries (from Your Info page and from the Forum Profile page). The galleries don't have the same content. This will be fixed soon. Click Done when completed.
2 - Upload from your computer - Click the Browse button and select the avatar from your computer. Note: Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be not be greater than 110 pixels, the height not greater than 100 pixels, and the file size not more than 100 KB. It can be GIF or JPG files.
3 - Upload from URL (website) - type in the link of the avatar, and it will be downloaded from the website, saved to INOL under your profile (e.g.: htpp: //website/link/avatar.jpg)
4 - Link to Off-site Avatar - type in the link of the avatar, and it will be linked to that website. The disadvantage of this is if the site where you linked your avatar is down, your avatar will not display.
Click Submit or Save to commit your changes.
