Greetings,
Can you tell me how to place a picture in the INOL site downloaded from a website say Angelfire.com? I believe it's called hotlinking which is considered by some website and angelfire being one of them to be stealing.
If that don't work, can you tell me how to put pictures in the INOL gallery.
MHTS is it okay if I e-mail you the pictures and you can pose them to the INOL gallery so that I can download them from there and use the in the forum? It's about the INNHS celebration.
Thank you and God bless . . .
Tonton, there are many ways of uploading your pictures here at INOL. Here are few ways to do this:
1 - You can attach a picture for a new message you post. Disadvantage of this is that you can only attach one per post, and you have a limit or quota.
2 - You can Upload in the Photo Gallery
3 - Or you can Upload in your Own Photo Gallery.
Uploading your pictures in your Own Photo Gallery will give you the option to put all of them together in one folder.
Go to INOL Photo Gallery Uploade - here is the link (http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=upload).
If you go directly to the INOL Photo Gallery, you will some links such as My Gallery, or Upload Pictures. Those links will help you upload your own pictures.
Upload your pictures there. There is a limit to the size of each picture that you are allowed to load, if it doesn't work, it would be most likely be too large for the maximum size.
You can always email it to me if you wish you'd like me to upload them for you so you can use it for your post in the forum...

Greetings MHTS,
If I upload my pictures in the INOL picture gallery album here http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=upload can I use those pictures and paste them in the INOL forum. Again my pictures are those of the INNHS celebration.
I also saw that create my album. Can I create one just for INNHS?
This will be of great help.
Thank you for your response.
God bless . . .

Hello Tonton,
Yes, you certainly can use those pictures here in the forum. After you've uploaded your pictures you can then link them here in the forum. There's a BBcode that you can use to display pictures from a link (as you may have already known that - [ img ][ /img ] code).
You can create your own Album in your own profile, you can then create a subfolder for INNHS in your profile and upload them there. After you uploded, you can just show the properties of the picture and copy/paste that in your [ img ] tag to display the picture.
Like this:
http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/11039/69929860_8edf064429.jpg
You have to remember to go to Admin Mode to create albums and upload pictures in your created albums...
Cheers,
MHTS

Greetings,
I have not forgotten to upload those pictures. Just waiting for classmates to "lablel" them for me.
God bless . . .
Thanks Tonton, remember, being an INOL member you have the option to create your own Photo Album...
As another option, I can create you an INNHS Photo Gallery under the Home Photo Album. We'll be glad to see all the good pictures you will share with us...

Greetings,
I just tested one picture to the Photo Gallery upload site. This is where the photo came from (in my own photo folder in my hard drive):
C:\Documents and Settings\WINSTON\My Documents\My Pictures\webpic\INNHS11.JPG
and this was the reply from the INOL upload site:
- - - - - - -
No picture was uploaded !
If you have really selected a picture to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...
- - - - - - -
So the picture was not uploaded. I guess I am too naive about computer stuff. Can you help me here STEP by STEP how to paste and upload the pictures? What "SERVER that allows upload" is it talking about?
I may have to e-mail those pictures to you and I will let you upload them for me if that will be the last option. That means you have to give me your e-mail address.
Thank you for keeping up with me. I really want to have those pictures seen in the forum so that my classmates can also visit the INOL site.
Looking forward for your simple instructions/step by step.
God bless . . .

Greetings,
By the way guys, where are you based at in Laoag? Lord willing, whenever I can come and visit in Laoag I sure would like to meet you all and the staff in person. May be we can all go to La Moda and have that delicious pancit canton. I wonder if the place in still there? Otherwise Max's Fried Chicken will do.
God bless . . .
Tonton,
You're getting there. I have posted Photo Album Setup (http://www.ilocosnorte-online.com/inside/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=917) as a Step-by-Step Guide to uploading your pictures. Pay attention to the final steps, as those appear to be where you have the error message comes up.
Let me know if you still need more help.
Most of us are scattered all over the world. Most of us are based in the US. But we are planning to have the INOL's Summit in December in Ilocos. Hopefully we will all meet at that time...

Greetings MHTS,
It worked, hopefully. There's one picture in the INOL gallery and in the Forum under Univeristy Belt - INNHS Centennial. Let me know if it was successful. I have to resize the picture "cutting off" some faces and that's probably why it's not uploading it. The orginal pictures have a height size of more than a 1000 pixels. Is there any advice you can share how to resize a picture without "deleting" some of those faces like going to paint, JACS paint shop etc?
Thank you and God bless . .

Greetings,
Just a suggestion. But do you all think you can enlarge the photos in the INOL gallery so that they can be submitted more than just 650 x 650 pixels. I saw this site http://www.pbase.com/bobbyw/gabilo and I was just wondering if we can do the same.
Thank you and God bless . . .
